Criterion D
The problem which being introduced is that employee monitoring has been more and more popular to companies and the problem is that this policy is abusing the privacy of the employee.
A solution to this problem is to drop this policy and build a new one the new policy will be; to have the access to be informed whether the employee is doing any internet surfing, E mail, or any other technological abuse of any sort, to an extent.
The first component to this is that the company has the right to get a small notice, like a brief popup (a small message in words, and no visuals what so ever) which says something like “workstation 4 is surfing the internet.” This way the manager will be informed but in an ethical way which doesn’t abuse the privacy of the employee. The second component is that the employee will have to be penalised if he gets too distracted and crosses the line; the employee will have a certain number of points which he can use up, for example internet surfing could be 3 points and E Mail use could be 5 points and if the employee passes the number of points he will get penalised (this could be financially or a work related penalty), and if the bigger the line between the points the bigger the penalty will be. The last component is that for the sake of the employee, the company has to get the opinion of the employee so they will get a group of employees and discuss the possible solutions that could be also done.

Criterion C
Privacy has become a huge concern to the average employee, as he is being monitored by their managers or people who have access to monitor them. This problem addresses the social and ethical issues of privacy and productivity.
“Is my employer legally allowed to see what is on my workstation?” Is a common question which people ask and the answer is: Yes, since he has the right to monitor anything that is being done in his network hence he the right to monitor you (Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, 2006). It is vital that the employees have their privacy and have their right to do what they desire. This is because, businesses also have to look out whether their actions are ethical or not, because how could they attract a costumers or even more employees with unethical company behaviour, like abusing the privacy of others.
Companies are deliberately monitoring their employees because they want to see their productivity rate go up. It is true that after employee monitoring software’s have been placed in companies the productivity rate of the average employee has gone up (Schulman, 2001). The problem is that the employee’s well-being will drop and if that drops then the Well-being of the hole firm will drop, thus causing a problem with the lack of motivation and even though the productivity is going up the problem is that the quality of the work will drop, and in businesses the quality is much more important.
