Criterion B

Criterion B

The IT system that is being used by the Face book website and all other websites are based on three components. The first component is the database that is being used and this database is basically a network of connected servers from all around the world. The standard internet protocol (IP) then uses the process to transmit data and information by packet switching. Another component to connect to the internet is by using web browsers, a web browser is a software(figure 1) that enables the computer to display the features of the web site that is being used, text, images, videos, music, and much more, these are the main information that are located in a web page in the internet and the world wide web and these software’s are standard software’s located any personal computer like internet explorer, Fire fox (figure 1), Safari, and many more.

Three main technological developments that led more and more people to use the internet are very important for the Face book website. The speed of the internet is a very important feature because now that the standard internet protocol (IP) increased the process to transmit data and information by increasing the packets for packet switching and this is very important for the Face book website because now people can have quick access to the website to the information. The other development is that now people can have huge storages (memory) to save and add their information and this is mainly because the files have gotten much smaller and much more accessible. Another way for people to have easy access to these websites is that now people can have quick and easy access to downloads, insulations, and much simpler processes to follow.

The future will even be more optimistic the internet providers and servers will have to even boost the internet speed even further (see figure 2). The internet will even become more accessible to people, for example maybe we don’t need to have a network in our house because we could connect from any place in the world immediately from our computer to our internet provider, just like the current mobile phone. There will be further development to make the internet even cheaper and affordable for people to even possibly use broadband connections.
