Criterion C
Social networking site Face book provides positive impacts on Society. One positive impact on Society is that users in the Facebook website communicate and share information with each other in a social and healthy way. Facebook provides their users private and confidential limited access pages to share and post information to other users.
Facebook provides a good and clear environment for their users but it might also cause negative impacts on society. A negative impact is that Facebook users might be addicted to the social network which will cause the people to exceed their usage of time. This will be a negative approach because it might cause users to waist time and won’t be intact with what’s going on in the society.
The most serious problem is that sometimes Facebook members will post confidential information like credit card numbers, and then other users would try to steel this confidential information. This would go under the crime of fraud but it is very hard to track these users since they have done the crime inside a cyber network with multiple users.
This problem has a very important implication for impact on society because it is a very serious crime with very harsh consequences. But it is very hard to track these criminals because of the fact that all of this fraud is being conducted in cyber space where there aren’t official records of what happened.
