Criterion B/ portfolio 3

Criterion B

The IT system that is used is highly sophisticated and is extremely delicate. In order to operate such a surgery using the BRAINSUITE there has to be a number of people who are all working in the operating room; it will consist of 2-3 surgeons, one anesthesiologist, and a number of nurses. Since this technology extremely innovative there will usually be a dozen people in the operating room. The doctor (who will be the person responsible for the operation) will be located at the computer console and doesn’t have any physical contact with the patient; he will be operating on him directly with the robot through the computer. This will enable the doctor to use the magnification component of the BRAINSUIT and view very clearly at pinpoint areas (where the human eye cannot view). The other component is they could do extremely precise incisions with the very steady and accurate Robot Arm, which is much more efficient than the human arm.
